Canvas Learning Management System

All science courses are managed through the Canvas Learning Management System. The Canvas program provides an integrated system through which students and parents can take care of almost everything involved with their science class. The features of Canvas will be covered in an online Orientation video that will be available the first few weeks of August.

During the first part of August the teacher will send a link and access code to the class to parents by email. If you already have a Canvas account, just use the link and code to join the class. If you are new to Canvas, the links below provide a step-by-step tutorial on how to set up your account the first time. Students will need to set up their account first. Parents can also set up an “observer” account if they wish to have access to their student’s grades and assignments. Instructions on how to set up this account can be found in the link below. The teacher can also add the observer account after the student account is set up.

Please note: Different accounts must use different email addresses. If the student account is set up with the parent’s email address, an observer account cannot be set up using the same address.
